Swedish property fund buys 646 residential commonhold units in Copenhagen
09-01-2012: Niam makes its first ever investment in Denmark.
Via the fund of Niam Nordic V, Niam has entered into an agreement to buy a portfolio of 646 residential commonhold units, fully let, at a price of approximately DKK 1.3bn. Most of the units in the portfolio are located at Sluseholmen and Teglværkshavnen in the Copenhagen waterfront district of Sydhavn (South Harbour).
The transaction includes the main share of the so-called FinansGruppen portfolio, which in reality was held by Amagerbanken.
Sadolin & Albæk mediated the sale.
