New Aarhus property market report

The outlook for the property market in Aarhus, Denmark's number two city, continues to be very favourable.

Net initial yields on commercial properties in Aarhus have come down markedly over the latest 12 months and are now on a par with Copenhagen levels. Furthermore, we see a sustained decline in vacancy rates in 2006 owing to the economic upturn in Denmark in general.

Substantial level of new commercial developments in e.g. Søften, Stilling and Skejby near Aarhus.

Also in Aarhus, the retail sector is greatly benefiting from boost in consumer spending. Continued growth seen in the retail locations around Ryesgade and the shopping centre of Bruun’s Galleri, with also a large expansion of the Storcenter Nord shopping centre.
